Accessibility Policy

MYFIOR is committed to a shopping experience that is welcoming and usable for every visitor, regardless of ability. Here's exactly how we approach accessibility, and how to reach us if something isn't working for you.

Last Updated: July 14, 2026 Effective: July 14, 2026 Applies to myfior.com and all customer touchpoints
Section 01

Our Commitment to Accessibility

MYFIOR believes that browsing, learning about, and purchasing skincare and makeup products should be a straightforward experience for every customer, including people who use screen readers, screen magnification, voice navigation, keyboard-only navigation, or other assistive technology. Accessibility is a continuous priority for our team, not a one-time project, and it informs how we design, write, and build every page on myfior.com (the "Site").

This policy explains the standards we work toward, the features currently in place, the limitations we are actively addressing, and how to reach us directly if any part of your experience on the Site is not accessible to you.

Section 02

Standards We Follow

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the internationally recognized benchmark for digital accessibility — as our primary reference point when designing, writing, and reviewing the Site. Our development approach also takes guidance from:

ADA Title III

The Americans with Disabilities Act's requirement that places of public accommodation, which courts increasingly interpret to include commercial websites, remain accessible to people with disabilities.

Section 508

Federal accessibility standards for electronic and information technology, used here as a supplementary design reference alongside WCAG 2.1 AA.

State Accessibility Laws

Including California's Unruh Civil Rights Act, which our home-state customers are protected by in addition to federal law.

We treat WCAG 2.1 AA as an ongoing target rather than a one-time checklist; as our theme, plugins, and product catalog evolve, we re-test key pages against these guidelines.

Section 03

Accessibility Features Currently on Our Site

Where our WordPress theme, plugins, and content allow, we work to build and maintain the following:

Descriptive alt text

Product photos and category images include descriptive alternative text for screen-reader users wherever supported by our catalog.

Logical heading structure

Pages are organized with sequential headings so screen-reader and keyboard users can navigate content in a predictable order.

Color contrast

Text and interactive elements are checked against WCAG contrast ratios so content remains legible for low-vision users.

Keyboard navigation

Core paths — browsing categories, opening a product, adding to cart, and checking out — are built to be operable without a mouse.

Resizable text

Pages are built with relative units so browser and OS-level text-resizing tools work as expected without breaking layout.

Form labels

Cart, checkout, account, and newsletter forms use associated labels and clear error messaging rather than color or placeholder text alone.

Section 04

Assistive Technology Compatibility

We aim for the Site to work with commonly used assistive technologies, including screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver, screen magnification software, speech-recognition and voice-navigation tools, and switch or keyboard-only input devices. Compatibility depends in part on your browser, operating system, and the specific version of your assistive technology, so results can vary — if you encounter a barrier with a particular combination of tools, please let us know so we can investigate.

Section 05

Alternative Ways to Shop & Get Help

If any part of myfior.com is difficult for you to use — browsing a category, reading an ingredient list, completing checkout, or anything else — our support team can help directly. You're welcome to:

  • Call or text us at +1 650-284-1881 and we will walk through product details, pricing, or your order verbally.
  • Email [email protected] and describe what you were trying to do; we will respond with the information you need or complete steps on your behalf where appropriate.
  • Message us on WhatsApp for a faster, informal back-and-forth.
  • Use the live chat available on the Site during business hours to reach a team member directly.

These alternative channels are offered in addition to, not instead of, our ongoing work to make the Site itself directly accessible.

Section 06

Ongoing Testing & Improvement

Accessibility is not a fixed state — themes, plugins, and product content on the Site change over time, and each change can affect usability. We periodically review key templates (homepage, category pages, product pages, cart, and checkout) using a mix of manual keyboard testing, screen-reader spot checks, and automated scanning tools, and we prioritize fixes based on the severity of the barrier and how central the affected page is to shopping and checkout.

We do not claim the Site is 100% conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA at all times. We treat every reported barrier as a genuine priority and work to resolve it as quickly as our team is able.

Section 07

Third-Party Content & Linked Sites

Certain content on myfior.com originates from third parties — including manufacturer-supplied product images and descriptions, embedded social media posts, payment processor checkout screens, and links to external sites such as our Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube pages. We are not able to guarantee the accessibility of content or platforms we do not control, but we choose reputable, mainstream third-party tools and services where possible and will raise accessibility concerns with those providers when they are reported to us.

Section 08

Legal Framework We Reference

MYFIOR is a US-based retailer shipping exclusively within the United States, headquartered in Walnut Creek, California. In shaping this policy and our accessibility practices, we take guidance from the following frameworks, in addition to WCAG 2.1 AA:

  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Federal civil rights law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of disability, which we treat as extending to how we design and operate the Site.
  • California Unruh Civil Rights Act: A California state law guaranteeing full and equal access to business establishments, applicable to us as a California-headquartered company.
  • Federal Trade Commission (FTC) fair-dealing principles: We do not use design patterns intended to obscure information or steps from any category of user, including those relying on assistive technology.

This section is provided for transparency about the standards guiding our work and is not, and should not be read as, a legal opinion or a guarantee of compliance with any specific statute.

Section 09

Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Accessibility Policy as our Site, tools, and practices evolve. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to revisit this page periodically, particularly if you rely on assistive technology to shop with us.
