Billing Practices & Payment Policy
Billing Practices & Payment Policy
A clear, complete explanation of how MYFIOR accepts, processes, and protects payment for every K-Beauty order — including exactly when your card, wallet, or Buy Now, Pay Later plan is charged.

Purpose of This Policy
This Billing Practices & Payment Policy explains, in plain language, how MYFIOR ("MYFIOR," "we," "us," or "our") accepts, authorizes, charges, secures, and, where necessary, refunds payment for orders placed on myfior.com (the "Site"). It sits alongside our Shipping Policy, Return Policy, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer & Product Liability Policy, and Pricing & Promotions Policy, so that every customer understands exactly what will appear on their statement, and when.
By selecting a payment method and submitting an order on the Site, you authorize MYFIOR and its payment processing partners to charge the total order amount — item price, applicable sales tax, and shipping — to that payment method as described in this policy. If any charge on your statement doesn't match what is described here, contact us at [email protected] and we will investigate promptly.
Accepted Payment Methods
MYFIOR accepts the following payment methods at checkout. Every option below is processed through PCI-compliant payment infrastructure — MYFIOR never sees or stores your full card number, CVV, or bank credentials.
The card brands shown above (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, and UnionPay) are processed as standard debit or credit card transactions. Klarna and Afterpay are third-party Buy Now, Pay Later providers described in Section 5. Google Pay and Apple Pay are digital wallets described in Section 6. Available methods may vary slightly by device and browser.
When Your Payment Method Is Charged
For in-stock items, your card or wallet is authorized and captured at the time you place your order — not when your order ships.
When you submit an order, we first request authorization from your card issuer or payment provider to confirm the funds or credit are available; that authorization is then captured (the funds are actually collected) once the order is confirmed, which for the great majority of orders happens immediately at checkout. If any item in your order is a genuine preorder or backorder that is clearly labeled as such on the product page, we will disclose at that time whether the charge occurs at order placement or closer to ship date; absent such a label, standard immediate-charge billing applies.
You may see a temporary "pending" authorization on your statement before the final captured charge posts — this is a normal step in card processing and typically resolves within a few business days depending on your bank.
Currency & Card Billing
All orders on myfior.com are processed and billed in U.S. Dollars (USD), consistent with our Pricing & Promotions Policy. If your card or bank account is issued outside the United States, your issuer may apply its own currency conversion rate and may charge a foreign transaction fee; MYFIOR does not control or receive any portion of that conversion fee, and it will not appear as a MYFIOR line item.
The billing descriptor that appears on your card or bank statement for a MYFIOR purchase will clearly identify MYFIOR or a recognizable variation of our store name, so that charges are easy to identify and reconcile.
Buy Now, Pay Later — Klarna & Afterpay
Klarna and Afterpay are independent, separately licensed Buy Now, Pay Later ("BNPL") providers that let you split the cost of your order into installments. When you select Klarna or Afterpay at checkout, you leave our checkout flow and enter an agreement directly with that provider — MYFIOR is not the lender, does not set the installment schedule or any interest or late fee, and is paid the full order amount by the BNPL provider up front, in the same way we are paid by a card network.
- Klarna and Afterpay independently determine your eligibility, which may include a soft credit check that does not affect your credit score for standard pay-in-four plans.
- The number of installments, payment dates, any service or late fee, and your dispute rights are governed entirely by the terms Klarna or Afterpay presents to you before you confirm the plan — please read those terms before accepting.
- Both services are limited to eligible U.S. billing addresses and require the purchaser to be at least 18 years of age.
- Refunds on orders paid through Klarna or Afterpay are issued back to your BNPL account, which then adjusts or cancels your remaining installments per that provider's own refund process — see Section 10.
Questions about an installment charge, a missed payment, or a fee should be directed to Klarna or Afterpay support directly, as they hold your payment account; we're glad to help with anything related to the order itself at [email protected].
Digital Wallets — Apple Pay & Google Pay
Apple Pay and Google Pay let you check out using a card already stored securely in your device's wallet, authenticated by your device's Face ID, Touch ID, PIN, or screen lock rather than by typing card details into our Site. When you pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay, the underlying charge is still processed as a standard transaction against the card you have selected in your wallet, and the same authorization-then-capture timing described in Section 3 applies.
MYFIOR receives a single-use, tokenized payment credential from Apple or Google to process the charge — never your actual card number — which is one of the reasons digital wallet checkout is considered a particularly secure payment option.
Payment Verification & Fraud Checks
To protect both our customers and our store from unauthorized use, every order may be screened using standard, industry-wide checks, including Address Verification System (AVS) matching, card verification value (CVV) confirmation, and 3-D Secure authentication (such as a one-time code sent by your bank) where your card issuer requires it. Some orders may be held briefly for manual review if they trigger a fraud-risk signal, such as a shipping address that does not match the billing address on file.
If we are unable to verify a payment, we will contact you at the email or phone number on the order to request confirmation or an alternate payment method before the order is processed further; we will never ask you to send your full card number or CVV by email or text.
Sales Tax & Order Totals
The total amount charged to your payment method equals the item price, minus any discount applied, plus applicable state and local sales tax and shipping cost, exactly as itemized in your order summary before you submit payment — full detail on how tax and shipping are calculated and disclosed is available in our Pricing & Promotions Policy. We do not add any charge to your payment method that was not shown in that final order summary.
Declined, Failed, or Incomplete Payments
If a payment is declined, expires mid-checkout, or otherwise fails to complete, no order is created and no charge is captured; any "pending" authorization you may briefly see for a failed attempt is released by your bank automatically, typically within a few business days, and MYFIOR has no ability to expedite a release held by your card issuer. You're welcome to retry with the same or a different payment method at any time.
If you believe you were charged for an order that shows as failed or was never confirmed by email, contact [email protected] with your payment confirmation or bank statement entry and we will investigate and correct it promptly.
How Refunds Are Issued
Approved refunds — whether for a return under our Return Policy, a pricing correction, or an unfulfillable item — are issued back to the original payment method used for the purchase. Card refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank; digital wallet refunds follow the same timeline as the underlying card; and Klarna or Afterpay refunds are sent to that provider, which then applies the credit against your remaining installments or issues a balance refund per its own process and timeline.
We do not issue refunds as store credit, cash, or to a different card or account than the one used to pay, except where the original payment method has expired or closed, in which case we will work with you directly on an alternative refund method.
No Automatic Recurring Billing
A standard purchase on myfior.com is a single, one-time charge. We do not enroll customers in a subscription, membership, or auto-replenishment program as part of a normal checkout, and we do not store your payment details for future unattended charges beyond what is needed to process the order you placed and any refund or warranty claim related to it. If we ever introduce an optional subscribe-and-save program, its recurring charge amount, billing frequency, and cancellation method will be disclosed clearly and will require your separate, affirmative opt-in.
Billing Errors, Disputes & Chargebacks
If you notice a charge you don't recognize or believe is incorrect, please contact us at [email protected] first — most billing questions can be resolved directly and faster than through a bank dispute. For payments made by credit card, you retain all billing-error and dispute rights available to you under the federal Fair Credit Billing Act and your card issuer's own policies; for BNPL charges through Klarna or Afterpay, your dispute rights are set out in that provider's own consumer agreement, which is provided to you at the time you accept the plan.
We respond to every chargeback and payment dispute with the order, shipping, and communication records on file, and we always prefer to resolve a billing concern directly with you before it becomes a formal dispute.
Payment Security & PCI Compliance
All card and digital wallet transactions on myfior.com are processed through payment providers that maintain Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance. Your full card number, expiration date, and CVV are transmitted directly to our payment processor over an encrypted connection and are never stored in full on MYFIOR's own servers. Additional detail on how we handle your personal and payment data more broadly is available in our Privacy Policy.
State-Specific Billing & BNPL Regulations
MYFIOR ships exclusively within the United States. Billing practices are also shaped by the state-level oversight of card and Buy Now, Pay Later payments described below, in addition to the federal consumer-credit protections and the rest of this policy.
California
As our home state, California treats Buy Now, Pay Later plans as consumer loans regulated under the California Financing Law, with the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) requiring BNPL providers such as Klarna and Afterpay to hold the appropriate lending license to operate in the state.
New York
New York's Buy-Now-Pay-Later Act (Banking Law Article 14-B) establishes a licensing regime through the Department of Financial Services for BNPL lenders operating in the state, with implementing regulations being finalized; New York residents retain the disclosure and dispute rights that law affords once in effect, alongside General Business Law protections against deceptive billing practices.
Texas
The Texas Deceptive Trade Practices–Consumer Protection Act (DTPA) protects consumers from deceptive billing and payment practices. Texas residents retain all remedies available under the DTPA with respect to any charge made on this Site.
Florida
The Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA) applies to our billing and payment practices toward Florida residents, including how charges and refunds are disclosed and processed.
Washington
The Washington Consumer Protection Act (CPA) prohibits unfair or deceptive billing practices. We do not condition any Washington sale on a customer waiving rights available under the CPA.
All Other States
If you reside in a state not listed above, you retain all consumer protection, billing-dispute, and lending-disclosure rights afforded to you under the laws of your state of residence. Nothing in this policy limits those statutory rights.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where a customer's state of residence grants mandatory consumer or lending protections that supersede this choice of law. Any billing dispute arising from a purchase made through myfior.com will first be addressed through direct communication with our support team at [email protected] before any formal proceeding is initiated.
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this Billing Practices & Payment Policy from time to time to reflect new payment methods, changes to our BNPL or wallet partners, or applicable law. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site or purchase of products after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
